Adoption in Northern England

We cover Yorkshire, North East and North West England, including the Humber, north Lincolnshire, Northumberland, Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Durham, Cumbria, Cheshire, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside, including Liverpool.

That’s a big area but our friendly team members are based across the North region and local to you. Here, adopting is a team effort, and you can count on our dedicated community of adoptive parents and staff to be by your side every step of the way.

We’d love to talk to you about how you could change a childhood, and change a life through adoption. You can contact us using the details below or stay in touch with us on Facebook.

Adoption process

Welcoming a child or young person into your life is an incredible thing to do - and a big decision to make. We'll make sure you have the information you need to work out if it's right for you and where you are in your life and what you can expect from the application process.

How we’ll support you

We listen and respond to the needs of our adopters, which is why we offer a comprehensive preparation, training and support adoption programme, including access to support groups, adopter forums and adoptive family social events.

“It felt like two families coming together”

What it’s like adopting older children and siblings

Lindsey and her husband Phil didn’t set out to adopt two children at once, or to adopt an older child, but when they attended an activity day they met and fell for two little girls who would become their daughters. Read about why they decided to adopt two sisters, the support they received from us and what life is now like as a family of four.
