About the cycle
Starting from Clapham Common in South London and finishing on Brighton’s seafront, the London to Brighton cycle is an iconic 55-mile ride which is perfect for all abilities.
Once out of London, you’ll cycle along quiet country lanes enjoying the idyllic English countryside, passing through Mitcham, Banstead and Haywards Heath, before taking on Ditchling Beacon – a mile long climb to the top of the South Downs.

Once you’ve conquered the climb, it’s all downhill to the Brighton seafront and finishing line.
The route is fully sign-posted, so you don’t need to worry about looking at a map – you can simply keep your eyes on the road and enjoy the scenery.
Water stops are positioned along the route where you can refill your bottle, as well as bike mechanics should you need any assistance. Sign up today to join us in pedaling towards a brighter future for children and young people.
