Sahara Desert trek

What to expect?  

Trek across the ever-changing landscape of one of the world’s largest deserts – the Sahara. Gain an insight into this vast and diverse landscape as well as discovering the Berber way of life. You will spend two full days and two half days trekking across ancient dried upriver beds, sand dunes and vast sun-baked plains.

Camping during the Sahara trek gives you the chance to experience the stunning stars in the night sky (weather permitting) and the traditional Berber cuisine cooked by the team is second to none.  

You will then spend two days helping a community project in Marrakech which supports young people who have been orphaned, rejected by their family, or in some experiences abused, to find education and vocational training.

Your tasks will vary depending on the need at the time but you’re likely to get involved with refurbishment, redecorating and gardening which will make an instant impact at this incredible centre.  

This is an Open Challenge which means that you will be joined by fellow travellers who may be supporting other charities. 

Fundraising and costs  

To join us for this once in a lifetime opportunity you can choose between the following two options:

• Fundraise for charity: £350 registration fee + £1,600 minimum sponsorship  

• Flexi option: pay your trip costs and fundraise: £350 registration fee + £800 self-funding (trip cost) + £800 minimum sponsorship
