Here at Barnardo’s Midlands Fostering Families our service can offer full time fostering, short breaks, remand and emergency fostering. Our team of dedicated social workers will support you throughout the whole of your fostering journey.
We cover Birmingham and the Midlands, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Warwickshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
The rewards are huge. Knowing you've made a difference to a vulnerable child's life is something that will stay with you forever.

Although there are tough times and new challenges along the way, the positive difference fostering has made to Sharon and Tim's, and numerous children’s lives, makes it all worthwhile.
Sharon and Tim live in Leicester and have four adult children, one foster child, and a dog. The couple have been fostering for six years, the last four of which have been with Barnardo’s. Six years ago, they started out as short term foster carers but decided to move to long-term fostering to offer the young person they were fostering at the time everything they thought he should have in life – a safe, stable and loving place to call home.
