It’s easy, quick and tax-free.

How payroll giving works

Payroll giving is a way to give from your salary without having to pay any tax on your donation.

This means you can support children and young people to live safer, happier, healthier and more hopeful lives without paying taxes on the sum you’d like to donate, which you would otherwise incur when getting paid.

A £10 donation to us only costs you:

  • £8 if you pay basic rate tax (20 per cent)

  • £6 if you pay higher rate tax (40 per cent)

  • £5.50 if you pay the 45 per cent rate

What difference does payroll giving make?

Even small, regular donations make a big difference.

Payroll giving helps you to choose how much you want to give and the charities you want to support.

The scheme is easy to opt in and out of, giving you full control over your giving.

Setting up a payroll gift to us is easy. Just complete a few details and we’ll contact your employer to set up your regular gift. That’s it – you don’t need to do anything else.

Other ways to donate from your salary

Post-tax giving

Are you looking to make a regular donation from your salary but your organisation doesn’t have a payroll giving scheme set up? Then post-tax giving might be the option for you.

It’s really easy to set up a regular donation from your post-tax salary. Every gift makes a difference to a child’s life and helps support our work.
