Become an office volunteer

Could you provide a warm welcome when someone walk through our doors or calls one of our services?

Maybe you’re organised and know your way around Microsoft Word and Excel?

If so, joining one of our office or administration teams might be the volunteering role for you.

Some of our office volunteers support teams in local services, others help our corporate support teams.

The roles can be office, home-based, or take a blended approach, depending on what you and your team might need. Whether you have experience in office tasks or are keen to learn, your contribution could help us change childhoods and change lives.

Here are some of the ways you could help change lives

Provide admin support

You could help people feel welcome when they visit us, answer the phone, manage room bookings and help things run smoothly.

Marketing support

Help let people know what’s going on by updating display boards, creating leaflets and posters.

Ebay Hub support

We sell high-value items donated to us on eBay to make as much money as we can to support children and young people. You could help by processing donated items, preparing listings and helping us keep track of stock.

Other ways to volunteer with us

Help support our fundraisers

Money raised through fundraising activities helps us make children, young people and families across the UK safer, healthier, happier and more hopeful. Fundraising volunteers help inspire others to raise vital money. From designing and distributing promo materials, telling people about events on social media to cheering people across the finish line they help us change lives.

Volunteer in your local Barnardo’s shop

Be part of the team that makes our shops a welcoming place for people in their local community. Or, you could support our online store. Either way you’ll be helping to fund services that children, young people and families need.
