What we do
B-Wild supports existing Barnardo’s services to develop their practice outdoors. The project offers children, young people and families the chance to benefit from outdoor learning, outdoor play and therapeutic practice in nature.
The service is funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, and is currently available across six localities: Ayrshire, Falkirk, Glasgow, Inverclyde, Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire. It is supported by the project partner the Field Studies Council from their base in Millport.
B-Wild offers support to staff in the six chosen localities through training, co-delivery of sessions, and support with all aspects of planning and development. B-Wild supports the development of the wider Barnardo’s workforce by sharing learning across the organisation using the Barnardo’s social media channels (including YouTube) and Workplace.
