What we do
Tier 1 is a universal prevention service working with schools and any other community groups, organisations, clubs, societies for young people. We provide advice and guidance to young people from primary age to 25 years in the Denbighshire and Conwy areas to improve their knowledge of the impact and risks associated with substance misuse and to reduce the number of young people developing health harming behaviours. We enable teachers and youth workers to confidently deliver substance misuse education.
We can help with
- We support children and young people when an adult close to them, or they themselves, use substances in a way that becomes problematic, harmful, or dependent. We offer them advice and information on the impact of high risk behaviours, such as drug or alcohol misuse, violence and domestic abuse. We also provide access to intervention and treatment services, along with one-to-one and peer support.
