What we do
The Short Breaks service aims to give parents and carers a break from their caring responsibilities whilst ensuring that children and young people with disabilities and complex health needs receive appropriate supervision and care. Trained support workers offer a safe and nurturing environment to children and young people either in the family home or out in the community. This allows parents and carers to take a break, rest, and attend to their own needs, often reducing stress which can strengthen family relationships by reducing tension and allowing for quality time together. The service is registered with The Care Quality Commission (CQC) as a domiciliary service & was rated as good in all areas at the last inspection.
