What we do
The service is funded by City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council and delivered by an existing VCS Families First partnership in Bradford working in collaboration with Local Authority Family Hubs. The partnership comprises of Barnardo’s, Brathay Trust, JAMES & YMCA Bradford.
The Service will provide ‘hands on support’ to families who already have an identified Lead Practitioner. The Family Aide Workers (FAW) will complete targeted pieces of work that are detailed within an Early Help plan informed by an Early Help Assessment (EHAT).
Family Aide Workers will provide practical family support which improves parenting capacity, access to employment and training, educational attendance etc to promote the greatest impact in achieving positive outcomes for children. Work will take place with parents and their children in their homes at times which meet their needs (including morning & evening), to increase the skills, confidence, and abilities of all family members to live their daily lives in a positive and safe way.
