What we do
The Newtownabbey Family Connections Project has built a network of Community Schools in disadvantaged communities in Newtownabbey. It works in partnership with local schools, services and families. Project staff co-ordinate service delivery and build partnerships to provide extended-learning opportunities, integrated health and mental health services, parent support and community capacity building. It aims to achieve -improved academic performance, higher attendance rates, positive school environments and greater parental involvement in education and community life. The school design is based on evidence of what works and delivers excellent value in achieving positive outcomes for families and children.
