Nottinghamshire County Council's MH & Wellbeing Practitioners Time 2 Talk

What we do

Time 2 Talk is specific to care experienced young people who are the responsibility of Nottinghamshire County Council. The Mental Health Practitioners are embedded within the Leaving Care teams in Nottinghamshire County Council to support young people with their mental health and wellbeing. Support can be provided for up to 9 months for young people aged between 17.5 to 25 years. Support is individual to the young person and may involve support to transition from Children's to Adult's Mental Health services, or to link in with other opportunities. All referrals to the service are through the Leaving Care team of Nottinghamshire County Council.

We can help with

    Mental health

  • No child should be left to deal with poor mental health alone so we provide services supporting children and young people's emotional health and wellbeing. We have centres where children and young people can visit and have a trained worker they can trust and talk to. We help them build their confidence and get to the root of their difficulties so they can feel safer, happier, healthier and more hopeful.

  • Leaving care

  • Leaving home can be a challenge for anyone, but it can be even tougher if you’re a young person leaving care. We support young people with their transition to independent living, by offering advice, supported lodgings and help getting a job.
