Priory Family Centre Young Carers & Sibling Support Service

What we do

The Barnsley Young Carers and Sibling Support Service offers one to one sessions and group work to young carers and children with siblings with a disability/illness that are aged 5 to 17. The one to one sessions are led by the needs of the individual child. The group work sessions are interactive and bring together other young carers and siblings to offer peer support.

We can help with

    Young carers

  • Young people with caring responsibilities have all the challenges of being young, with all the responsibilities of being an adult. We support children and young people who care for and look after family members affected by health issues, disability or substance misuse. We help them look after their loved ones and give them time to enjoy their childhoods.
