What we do
Staying Connected provides a mobile resource which can transform venues in the heart of our local communities in to places where brothers and sisters / siblings, separated by family circumstances and by the care system, can regularly come together to share experiences and have fun. This would involve ‘Staying Connected Workers’ having resources that can be taken to any location in Aberdeenshire to provide a neutral, nurturing, and creative experience for children to meet with their siblings.
We can help with
- Children shouldn't be punished because members of their birth family aren't able to care for them. When they are separated, perhaps because a parent is in prison or because they need to be looked-after by their local authority, we support contact between them to help maintain family relationships.
