What we do
Steps to success is an attendance mentoring service which has been commissioned to Barnardo's by Co-op Academies trust.
Our Attendance mentors will work directly with children, young people and families who attend a Co-op Academy in selected areas.
Our focus is children/young people who are severely or persistently absent from school. Together we work to overcome barriers to school attendance, support positive family relationships and ensure the well-being and advocacy of the children and young people.
Attendance mentors will support children/young people on a 1-2-1 basis both in school, at home and in the local community.
