What we do
The service supports children and young people with individual needs living in Manchester to access existing mainstream activities and groups outside of school or college within their locality community.
Key workers will support children and young people to develop independent travel skills using public transport or walking to activities of their choice where appropriate. Key workers will initially support the children and young people’s participation and socialising with their peers to build confidence and independence. Once the child or young person is settled and confident and the provider has received the necessary information and support to meet the child or young person’s needs the service will withdraw.
We can help with
- Advocating for children is at the heart of everything we do. We work to make sure children and young people with disabilities are included in community activities and decisions about themselves.
