Barnardo's responds to McDonald's sexual abuse claims for under 18's

Barnardo's Chief Executive releases statement on McDonald's and its sexual and domestic abuse claims

Barnardo’s CEO, Lynn Perry MBE, said:

“Reports of children and young people being exposed to sexual harassment and exploitation at work are deeply concerning.

“No one should be at risk of harm or worried about their safety in the workplace, and especially not under-18s.

“At Barnardo’s, we know this type of exploitation can have a life-long impact on survivors’ mental health and well-being.

“That’s why we’re calling on the Government to ensure that no child is left without specialist support after being exploited. There is an urgent need for more services to help and support children and young people to come to terms with their trauma and work towards a positive future.”
