A mixed methods evaluation of ReachOut, a child sexual exploitation project using a three stranded approach of community outreach, school-based education, and direct support to children and young people.
The findings show that placing an emphasis on partnership working led to sustained and strengthened relationships with statutory and voluntary partners. Through outreach and preventative education activities thousands of children and young people were reached, with findings suggesting increases in their knowledge and understandings of sexual exploitation. Direct support to children and young people raised their awareness, confidence, and self-esteem.
