Barnardo's Scotland has responded to the the Education reform consultation on behalf of Professor Ken Muir, University of the West of Scotland and Independent Advisor to the Scottish Government.
We have shared our view on the Curriculum for Excellence reflecting that, in any reform of Scotland’s curriculum, we believe a stronger focus on health and wellbeing is needed in discussions around the attainment agenda, and in particular the impact of trauma and adversity on a child’s ability to learn.
