A mixed methods evaluation of Barnardo’s Nightwatch Service, which aims to raise awareness of child sexual exploitation amongst businesses in the night-time economy.
The evaluation shows that the implementation of Nightwatch resulted in increased confidence and awareness raising amongst workers in the night-time economy around the issue of child sexual exploitation and how to identify it. Localised approaches, flexibility in training delivery and awareness raising, and working in partnership to ensure a joint and strategic approach are identified as important to effectively raise awareness of child sexual exploitation.
