What we do
This service provides adult advocates and Independent Visitors for children and young people from 6-24 who are in care, have a disability or are in a vulnerable situation. An advocate will provide them with support and a voice in a meeting which is about them and their life. An Independent Visitor is a volunteer who will be a consistent mentor/role model for a young person in care for at least two years
We can help with
- One-to-one support for looked-after children and young people and other vulnerable young people e.g. those on a child protection plan focused on their right to be heard and involved in decisions about them, explaining their wishes, arguing their case. Activities and training for families and professionals.
